These Pictures are from the movie, "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari." They show repetition of ovals to represent the heads of the housekeeper and the friend of the murdered victim. The chair is in stark contrast to the rest of the figures. I feel the picture is in harmony in the grey scale but the colored one has a stronger variation of form brought on by the color.
